Quality Assured – We have a “Taste Our Best” Award from Visit Scotland. This means you will enjoy quality ingredients of Scottish provenance and the freshest seasonal produce. We strive for sustainability, sourcing food as locally as possible.
Bacon and Sausage- These meats come from our local butcher in Dufftown, Gordon, who with a high reputation, has won awards, – including one for his pork sausages.
Stornoway Black Pudding – This Black Pudding is probably the best there is. It has EU status and must be made on the Island of Stornoway. We take delivery from our local grocers in Dufftown.
Scottish Milk, Mushrooms and Tomatoes – Tomatoes can be out of season in the balmy winter air of Speyside.
Free Range Scottish Eggs – These usually come from up the road in Banff but they run out we still get Scottish ones.
Graham’s Butter – Graham’s are a Scottish family-run dairy business. The butter is made according to their Grandma’s recipe. Thanks Grandma!
Rowan Glen Yoghurts – The Rowan Glen diary is based in western Scotland and uses milk from its neighbouring farms. It is the only natural Scottish yoghurt producer. We think they taste delicious and creamy too.
Mackays Preserves – Family-owned firm which still uses traditional methods of preserve-making in Dundee Copper Pans. The soft fruits are grown in Scotland and the oranges have been imported from Seville, Spain, since the 18th Century.
Brodies Tea – The climate being too hot in Dufftown we source our tea from down south in Edinburgh. For almost 150 years, the name Brodies has been synonymous with the finest tea and coffee blends from around the world. Founded in Edinburgh in 1867 by three enterprising tea merchants who shared a passion for exploration, the company continues to this day on the quest for the very best, from plantations and tea gardens across the globe.
Monkey Shoulder Whisky – 3 single malts – Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Kininvie – find them on the Malt Whisky Trail in walking distance from us.
Scott’s Porridge Oats – A&R Scott, two brothers, started making Scott’s Midlothian Oat Flour in 1880, in the Kingston Dock area of Glasgow. The finest oats are used and on arrival at their current mill in Cupar, they are carefully inspected to ensure that they meet the high standards required. Scott’s work with local farmers and growers to ensure this quality is maintained.
Struan Blossom Honey – Supplied by Scottish bees based in Ross-shire!
